41 Azerbaijani citizens have been evacuated from Iran.

Axar.az informs this was announced by Aykhan Hajizada, spokesperson for the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He stated that Azerbaijan’s embassy in Iran, the Consulate General in Tabriz, and the embassy in Israel are reviewing requests received on their hotlines from citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan and taking necessary measures accordingly:

“In this regard, initially, a total of 41 Azerbaijani citizens, including family members of our embassy staff in Iran, were safely evacuated through the Iran-Azerbaijan border. Our embassies and relevant consulates continue their work.”
