The latest images from the villages of Gazakh region under Armenian occupation have been released.

Axar.az reports that the footage was broadcast on "ITV Khabar".

Villages that were once inhabited by about eight thousand people are now in ruins.

It should be noted that the occupied villages of Sofulu, Barkhudarlı, Baganis Ayrım, Kyzıl Hajılı, Yukhari Eskipara, Aşaghi Eskipara and Kheyrimli of Gazakh were occupied by Armenia.

These villages are located hundreds of kilometers away from the former conflict zone.

During the occupation in the 90s of the last century, the Armenian side took a position on strategic heights. Other inhabited villages of Gazakh were fired from those positions.

Seven villages of Gazakh are currently under surveillance by military personnel of the State Border Service.
