Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref on the sidelines of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan.

Axar.az informs during the talk, President Khachaturyan lauded the work being carried out by an Iranian organization on Armenia’s Meghri-Kajaran section of the North-South road corridor, and highlighted its importance in the development of regional communications.

The parties exchanged views also on the general regional situation and developments, and stressed the strengthening of the principles of good neighborliness, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence as the basis for stability and development for the entire region.
