China slams US, UK warships in Taiwan Strait

The US destroyer USS Higgins and the British frigate HMS Richmond have provoked each other by passing through the Taiwan Strait.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Colonel Shi Yi, spokesman for the Eastern Military Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).

He stressed that these actions threaten peace and stability in the region, and the PLA has mobilized its naval and air forces to monitor the situation.

The colonel noted that China is ready to protect its national sovereignty and security in the region.
