Turkiye will continue supporting negotiations

Turkiye will continue to support the negotiation process between Ukraine and Russia and will attach great importance to the safety of shipping in the Black Sea.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Istanbul.

He also emphasized the importance of energy security, the need to strengthen bilateral trade, and the ongoing pursuit of peace and stability in the region.

The meeting followed a Friday phone call between Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin as part of ongoing efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
