IDF targets petrochemical complex in Iran’s Mahshahr

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have struck a petrochemical complex in Mahshahr, in southwestern Iran, which was responsible for producing chemical materials for the country’s armed forces.

Axar.az reports, citing IDF Telegram channel, the Israeli Air Force, guided by military intelligence and in coordination with operational units, carried out the strike targeting key infrastructure within the facility.

The IDF said the attack focused on a site that served as one of the two central infrastructures used in the production of materials for explosives, ballistic missiles, and other weapons. The site was described as a major center for producing critical components for ballistic missiles.

The statement emphasized that damage to this infrastructure would disrupt Iran’s ability to use materials produced at the facility to manufacture various types of weapons, including those intended to target Israel and other countries in the Middle East.

It was noted that the strike has been completed and is part of a broader phase aimed at deepening the impact on key systems and foundations of the Iranian regime.
