The former head of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, considers the possibility of an assassination attempt in the death of former President Ebrahim Raisi.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Sepah Pasdaran Telegram channel.
According to Shamkhani, after the 12-day war, the question has re-emerged: Was Raisi’s killing connected to Israel?
“In the investigators’ inquiry, no signs of foreign interference were found in the president’s death. However, it cannot be ruled out that something beyond the technical capabilities of the investigation occurred,” Shamkhani noted.
It should be noted that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian died on May 19, 2024, when their helicopter crashed in the northwestern part of East Azerbaijan Province while returning from a visit to Azerbaijan.
