A French Navy frigate is tracking a Russian submarine off the coast of Brittany.

Axar.az reports that NATO’s Maritime Command released this information.

“The French Navy frigate is monitoring the Alliance’s maritime borders and has detected the presence of a Russian submarine operating near the coast of Brittany. NATO remains ready to defend the Alliance by maintaining constant vigilance and awareness of the maritime situation on both sides of the Atlantic,” the statement said.

According to the “UK Defense Journal,” the French frigate is tracking the “Novorossiysk” submarine belonging to Russia’s Black Sea Fleet.
