Azerbaijan women’s national volleyball team played their next match at the European Championship yesterday.

Axar.az reports that the team, coached by Faig Garayev, faced Turkiye in the round of 16.

The match at Istanbul’s Sinan Erdem Sports Hall began at 20:00 Baku time.

The game ended with a 3-0 victory for the hosts (25-14, 25-16, 25-22).

The Azerbaijan national team collected eight points from its matches in Group C, finishing third and advancing to the playoffs.

It should be noted that Turkiye finished second in Group A with 13 points. Daniele Santarelli’s team defeated Latvia (3-0), Slovenia (3-1), Hungary (3-0) and Germany (3-1), losing only to Poland 2-3.
