Military plane crashes in Sudan, all crew killed

A military transport plane crashed due to a technical failure near the city of Babanus in the West Kordofan state of Sudan.

Axar.az informs that the Sudan Tribune newspaper reported this, citing a statement from the 22nd Infantry Division.

It is noted that the aircraft is used in the region to bombard the positions of the "Rapid Support Forces" (RSF) movement and to supply army units besieged in Babanus.

The military reported that after the completion of the supply mission, the plane lost balance due to a malfunction in the right wing, caught fire, and crashed.

According to the information, all crew members were killed. The exact number and nationality of people on board the plane were not specified.

In turn, the RSF claimed to have shot down the "Il" military plane over Babanus.
