Iran, US talks will be limited strictly to nuclear issue

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi emphasized that if there are any talks between Iran and the US, they will be limited strictly to the nuclear issue.

Axar.az, citing Tasnim, reports that speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a weekly cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Araqchi said, “If there are any talks with the US, they will only concern the nuclear issue.”

He added that in previous negotiations, the missile and regional issues were always raised by the United States, but Iran’s positions have always been clear in this regard.

The foreign minister further noted that talks between Iran and Oman are held every six months in Tehran and Muscat.

In remarks on November 3, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei stated that only if the US completely ends its support for the Zionist regime, withdraws all its military bases from the region, and refrains from interfering in regional affairs, could any American request for cooperation with Iran be considered, not in the near future but in later times.
