Shara sets protocol aside and hugs Fidan – Video

A notable moment occurred at the opening ceremony of the Doha Forum 2025 in Doha, Qatar.

Axar.az reports that during the event themed “Justice in Action: Moving Beyond Promises,” Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara, entering the hall with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, suddenly stopped.

Seeing Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Shara set protocol aside, turned toward him, and embraced him warmly.

The Syrian president’s gesture has attracted attention on social media.
