Azerbaijani and Bahraini FMs discuss Middle East tensions

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone call with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani.

Axar.az informs, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the ministers discussed the recent military escalation in the Middle East, rising tensions in the region, and the potential consequences for security.

Both expressed serious concern over the rapidly changing situation, stressing that further escalation could undermine regional stability and security.

They highlighted the urgent need for de-escalation measures, the importance of keeping diplomatic channels open, and the value of dialogue and negotiation.

The ministers also emphasized adherence to international humanitarian law and the protection of civilians and critical infrastructure.

The conversation included an exchange of views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
