The U.S. military confirmed that four American service members have died, including one critically injured in initial attacks. At least 11 people have been killed in Israel, while the Iranian Red Crescent reports 555 fatalities in Iran.
Axar.az reports, citing CBS, that CENTCOM said Kuwait shot down three U.S. F-15s in a “friendly fire incident,” but all crewmembers survived.
Smoke was also seen rising from the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait following an apparent Iranian missile strike.
Air travel across the Gulf is heavily disrupted as key airports close, stranding tens of thousands. The U.S. has declined to join other countries planning evacuations.
President Trump stated that the joint operation would continue “until all objectives are achieved,” potentially lasting four weeks or less, while warning that more American casualties are possible.

The death toll of U.S. service members killed following the start of the Iran operation has risen to six.
"As of 4 pm ET, March 2, six U.S. service members have been killed in action. U.S. forces recently recovered the remains of two previously unaccounted for service members from a facility that was struck during Iran’s initial attacks in the region," CENTCOM said in a release on X.
