France calls on citizens to leave Mali

France has advised its citizens to temporarily leave the country as soon as possible due to the serious deterioration of the security situation in Mali.

Axar.az reports that the French Foreign Ministry issued an appeal regarding this.

The warning issued by the ministry emphasizes that the blockade imposed by jihadist groups in Bamako and many regions has paralyzed daily life:

"The security situation in Mali, including the capital Bamako, has deteriorated in recent weeks. French citizens are advised to temporarily leave the country on currently available commercial flights."
