Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has spoken about holding the Teknofest 2026 festival in the city of Sanliurfa.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that pointing to Selcuk Bayraktar, technical director of Baykar, Erdogan said:

“I told my son-in-law that Sanliurfa would also be a fitting place for this. We wanted our young people not to forget their roots, but to draw strength and inspiration from the works of their ancestors and build Turkiye’s future with this awareness. At the same time, we wanted young people from different countries participating in Teknofest to see this depth of Turkiye and get to know it more closely."
