US extends Lukoil sanctions deadline

The US has postponed sanctions against Lukoil's foreign assets for another 3 weeks.

Axar.az informs that this was reported in a statement by the US Treasury Department.

Thus, the ban on transactions with Lukoil's foreign assets has been postponed from November 21 to December 13. Until this date, Lukoil has also been granted permission to service and operate retail gas stations outside of Russia.

Lukoil and Rosneft's operations related to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (a pipeline through which Kazakh oil is exported), the Kazakh company Tengizchevroil, and the Karachaganak field development project in Kazakhstan have also been suspended.
