Azerbaijan and Pakistan FMs discussed regional security

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a phone call with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar.

Axar.az informs, citing the Foreign Ministry, the ministers exchanged views on the military escalation and rising tensions in the Middle East, highlighting the impact on regional and global security.

They stressed the importance of adhering to humanitarian law, protecting civilians and civilian infrastructure, and resolving issues through dialogue and diplomatic channels in line with international legal norms.

Pakistan also briefed Azerbaijan on recent clashes along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border.

The call included discussions on the current state and future prospects of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
