EU calls US-Ukraine peace talks in Geneva a success

The European Union has assessed the discussions held in Geneva on the peace plan presented by the United States for Ukraine as a successful step.

Axar.az reports that the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leye,n called the result achieved a solid basis for progress and stated that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine are the basis of the negotiations.

The President of the Council of the European Union, Antonio Costa, also noted that a new dynamic has emerged in the negotiations and stressed the importance of the full participation of the union in the process.

He noted that the main condition for the negotiations is respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. Ukraine can only decide on its Armed Forces.
