Iran sends a letter to Trump for dialogue

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has sent a letter to his American counterpart, Donald Trump.

Axar.az reports, citing "Azad Iran", that this was reported by a former member of the Iranian parliament, Mustafa Kavakebian.

According to him, permission was obtained from Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei to send the letter, and the bearer of the letter was Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Saying that the content of the letter is a call for dialogue, Kavakebian noted that it shows that Iran does not accept negotiations based on capitulation and that, therefore, the two sides are ready to start mutual discussions on equal terms.

The former MP added that sending the letter has already had its effect, and Trump immediately said that the US intends to hold talks.

"This is a sign that we do not intend to go to war and that we keep the possibility of dialogue for peace open," the former MP emphasized.
