Explosion on chemical tanker near the Istanbul Strait

An explosion occurred on a tanker carrying chemical products named "Kairos" 52 nautical miles from the exit of the Istanbul Strait.

Axar.az informs that Turkish media reported this.

It was reported that the explosion occurred in the engine compartment of the ship. It is said that the ship is in danger of sinking.

Several crew members were injured as a result of the incident.

A ship of the Turkish Coast Guard and a cutter were sent to the area.
