Azerbaijan and Armenia hold 12th border delimitation meeting

On November 28, the 12th meeting of the State Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia and the Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border and Border Security Issues between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in the city of Gabala of the Republic of Azerbaijan under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mger Grigorian.

Axar.az reports that it was noted with satisfaction that the 12th meeting of the commissions is being held in the territory of one of the parties - in the city of Gabala of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the parties noted the agreement reached on the results of the 11th meeting held on January 16, 2025, on the commencement of complex delimitation works, starting from the northern part of the state border, from the junction point of the borders of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia and Georgia, in a southerly direction, from north to south, to the border of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The parties held a detailed exchange of views on organizational and technical issues related to delimitation measures.

Relevant draft instructions on the procedure for carrying out delimitation work were also discussed.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mger Grigoryan held a separate exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.

The parties agreed to determine the date of the next meeting in a working order, in one of the cities of the Republic of Armenia.
