Putin thanks Orban for offering Budapest for US-Russia talks

Russian President Vladimir Putin has thanked Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán for his willingness to host Russian-American talks in Budapest.

Axar.az informs, citing TASS, Putin said he would be glad to take up the offer if the two sides reach an agreement on holding a summit.

At his meeting with Orban, Putin noted that if negotiations “come to using Budapest as the venue,” he would be “very pleased.” He also expressed gratitude to the Hungarian prime minister “for his readiness to help.”
