US intel guided Ukraine’s strikes on Russian energy sites

The United States has been assisting Ukraine in carrying out long-range strikes on Russian energy facilities as part of a coordinated effort to weaken Vladimir Putin's economy and pressure Moscow into negotiations, The Financial Times reported.

Axar.az informs, citing the FT, US intelligence shared with Kyiv has helped Ukraine carry out strikes on key Russian energy facilities, including oil refineries located far from the front line, according to multiple Ukrainian and US officials familiar with the campaign.

Kyiv's strikes have pushed up energy prices in Russia, forcing Moscow to reduce diesel exports and increase fuel imports.

The intelligence sharing is the latest indication that US President Donald Trump has stepped up support for Ukraine as his frustration with Russia has intensified.
