Georgia to receive no EU financial aid

According to the European Commission, Georgia will not receive any financial aid from the EU in 2025.

Axar.az informs that members of the European Parliament told journalists that support is unlikely to resume in 2026 either.

The issue concerns €120 million, the disbursement of which was frozen back in 2024 because Brussels judged that Georgia did not meet democratic criteria. Although the country remains a candidate for EU membership, its accession to the bloc by 2030 also seems unlikely.
