Iran reports severe flu wave

Currently, the highest levels of influenza prevalence are observed in the provinces of Gulistan, Gazvin, Hormozgan, Sistan and Baluchestan (Zahedan), Khuzestan (Ahvaz), Tehran, Kermanshah, and Hamadan.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Iran's Deputy Minister of Health Alireza Raisi.

It is noted that this year's flu wave is more severe than the same period last year:

"Since the beginning of the year, approximately 110-115 flu-related deaths have been recorded in the country, most of which are elderly people and those with chronic diseases."
