Aircraft damaged, Brussels summit begins poorly, Fico says

Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico said that the Brussels summit began poorly after a vehicle with stairs at the airport damaged his aircraft, leaving it unfit to fly.

Axar.az informs "The demanding summit in Brussels did not get off to a good start. At the airport, a vehicle with stairs damaged our aircraft to the extent that it is no longer airworthy and we have to leave it here," he wrote on X.

He also criticized the EU’s treatment of Serbia during a meeting with Western Balkan countries seeking membership.

Fico highlighted that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic deliberately skipped the summit in protest, citing unfair conditions imposed on Serbia compared to Ukraine, which is being fast-tracked despite being unprepared. Fico expressed full support for President Vucic and the Serbian people.
