2026 World Cup winner to receive record $50M prize

The winner of the 2026 World Cup will go down in history with a record prize.

Axar.az reports that FIFA has set a $50 million prize for the national team that will win the World Cup to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This is the highest amount awarded to the champion in the history of the World Cup.

According to the information, a total prize fund of $655 million has been set. It is planned that the teams that stop competing in the group stage will earn $9 million, and the teams that reach the final will earn up to $33 million, depending on the result.

It should be noted that the Argentina national team, which won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, received a prize of $42 million. The French national team earned $38 million for winning the championship in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
