Former Georgia Security chief Grigol Liluasvili detained

Former head of Georgia’s State Security Service, Grigol Liluasvili, has been detained.

Axar.az informs Georgia’s Prosecutor General, Georgi Gvarakidze, announced this at a briefing at the General Prosecutor’s Office.

Liluasvili faces multiple charges, including accepting bribes and involvement with so-called call centers.

The punishment ranges from 11 to 15 years in prison.

The prosecution has requested that he be held in custody pending trial.
