Two aircraft make emergency landings at Baku airport

A Finnair aircraft operating the Helsinki–Phuket route made an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport after a passenger on board suddenly fell ill.

Axar.az informs according to information provided by Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Airbus A350 landed safely in Baku at 00:54 local time. The passenger was immediately given first aid and later transferred to a city hospital.

The aircraft resumed its flight to its final destination at 02:59.

Meanwhile, a Cargolux Airlines cargo plane flying from Zhengzhou to Ashgabat also made an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport due to adverse weather conditions at its destination.

The Boeing 747 landed safely in Baku at 08:32 local time.

Airport officials said all procedures were carried out in full accordance with established protocols and international aviation safety standards.
