Etihad flight hits turbulence before landing

An Etihad Airways PJSC flight encountered turbulence as it was preparing to land in an airport in Thailand’s Phuket province.

Axar.az informs, citing ocal newspaper Khaosod, Montchai Tanod, director of Phuket International Airport (AOT), said the station manager of Etihad Airways flight EY416 from Abu Dhabi informed the airport that the aircraft encountered turbulence during the flight.

The incident occurred about an hour before landing in Phuket.

The flight landed safely at Phuket Airport at 11:55 a.m. Initial checks confirmed that none of the 160 passengers were injured or killed, and all have been taken into the terminal.
