Iran plans to keep internet restrictions until March 20

Iran’s government plans to keep internet restrictions in place at least until March 20.

Axar.az informs this was announced by Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani.

She said that international online services will not be restored until the end of the Nowruz holiday.

It was also noted that under Iran’s “internet switch” project, key digital services and banking platforms are to be transferred to the national network, a move that would make long-term internet shutdowns easier to implement.
