The current task of Ukraine’s military command is to develop its own anti-drone defense system.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by Ukraine’s Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
According to Fedorov, he has approved the appointment of Pavlo “Lazar” Yelizarov as Deputy Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force. He will be responsible for short-range air defense and the interception of unmanned aerial vehicles.
“Our task is to build an anti-drone dome over Ukraine. This system does not respond after an incident; it destroys the threat as it approaches. For this, we need people who have already proven their effectiveness in modern warfare. ‘Lazar’ is exactly such a person,” Fedorov said.
