Tsokayev wins gold at U-23 European Championship

Freestyle wrestling competitions continue at the U-23 European Championship in Zrenjanin, Serbia.

Axar.az reports Azerbaijan’s representative Ali Tsokayev, competing in the 92 kg weight category, faced Turkiye’s Fatih Altunbash in the final. The intense bout ended with a victory for the Azerbaijani wrestler.

As a result, Azerbaijan won its first gold medal at the European Championship.

It should be noted that Vasif Baghirov (57 kg) and Sabuhi Amiraslanov (79 kg) won silver medals yesterday, while Musa Aghayev (66 kg), Ramik Heybatov (70 kg), and Zafar Aliyev (97 kg) secured bronze medals.
