Algeria moves to end air transport deal with UAE

Algeria has initiated procedures to terminate an air transport agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed in 2013 and approved by presidential decree on December 30, 2014.

Axar.az informs that Algerian media reported on this.

It was reported that this decision could affect economic aspects such as air travel, tourism, and cargo transportation between the two countries.

“Relations deteriorated further after Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said in October last year that the country’s relations with all Gulf states except the UAE were warm. He described relations with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar as “brotherly” and accused an unnamed country of interfering in Algeria’s internal affairs and destabilizing the country,” the report said.
