Putin appoints Vershinin as ambassador to Turkiye

Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin from his position and appointed him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Turkiye.

Axar.az informs, according to Russian media, Vershinin had served as Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia since March 27, 2018. He oversaw relations with countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
