Serbian police have detained two men suspected of plotting an assassination attempt on the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and members of his family, the Interior Ministry’s press service reported.

Axar.az informs according to the investigation, from December 2025 to February 2026, the suspects (born in 1975 and 1983) were preparing a plan to kill the president and his family members. They were apprehended during a special operation carried out jointly with the Security and Intelligence Agency in the city of Kraljevo.

“The suspects will be held for up to 48 hours and, after filing a criminal case, will be transferred to the Higher Prosecutor’s Office in Kraljevo,” the statement said.
