Pentagon’s first kamikaze drone unit ready for Iran strikes

The Pentagon’s first dedicated kamikaze drone unit is ready to deploy if President Donald Trump authorizes military strikes against Iran, Bloomberg reported, citing US officials and analysts.

Axar.az informs the unit, known as Task Force Scorpion, is now fully operational, U.S. Central Command spokesman Capt. Tim Hawkins said in a statement to Bloomberg.

Notably, the unit’s one-way attack drones were reverse-engineered from Iran’s Shahed-136.
