Fico accepts Zelensky’s invitation but prefers to meet

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that he has accepted the invitation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to hold talks on the development of Ukrainian‑Slovak cooperation, but he prefers the meeting to take place in an EU member state.

Axar.az reports that Slovak PM stated this on his Facebook page:

"The Ukrainian president proposed a joint negotiation with the Slovak party on all aspects of Ukrainian-Slovak cooperation. I accepted this invitation and asked the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovakia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia to find a suitable date for such a meeting in cooperation with the Ukrainian party, while I prefer the meeting with the Ukrainian President on the territory of one of the EU Member States, which the Ukrainian President is intensively visiting," he wrote.
