U.S. embassy in Turkiye issues travel alert amid Iran strikes

The U.S. Embassy in Ankara warned American citizens to avoid Turkiye’s 22 southeastern provinces, including Gaziantep, Diyarbakir, Sanliurfa, Van, and Mersin, due to potential anti-Western backlash following joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran.

Axar.az, citing Turkiye Today, reports that the alert advised Americans to stay low-profile, avoid protests, and prepare emergency plans, noting that military activity in the region could disrupt travel.
