Iran to form temporary Leadership Council today

Iran is set to form a Temporary Leadership Council today.

Axar.az, citing IRNA, reports that Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, announced the move.

“Preparations for establishing the Leadership Council have been completed,” he stated.

Following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, reports suggested that the country would be temporarily overseen by President Masoud Pezeshkian, the head of the judiciary, and one member of the Guardian Council.
