Farewell ceremony for Iran’s Ali Khamenei postponed

The farewell ceremony for Iran’s religious leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in airstrikes carried out by the United States and Israel, will begin today, a senior Iranian official told state media.

Axar.az informs according to Mohsen Mahmoudi, head of Iran’s Islamic Propagation Council,​ the public will be able ​to pay their respects to the body of late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei at Tehran’s ​Imam Khomeini Prayer Hall starting at ​10 p.m. (22:30 Baku time).

The farewell ceremony will last for three days.

The farewell ceremony for the late religious leader Ali Khamenei in Tehran has been postponed.

This was announced by the Coordination Council of Islamic Propagation of Tehran Province.

It was reported that the ceremony was postponed due to numerous requests from across Iran, the need to ensure the participation of a large portion of the public, and the preparation of the necessary infrastructure for the event.

According to the report, the Coordination Council of Islamic Propagation will issue a call statement as soon as the conditions for holding the farewell ceremony are ready.
