Saakashvili condemns Iran drone strike on Nakhchivan

Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili stated that Iran’s terrorist regime deliberately struck Nakhchivan Airport in Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that in a Facebook post, Saakashvili wrote that there are at least three times as many Azerbaijanis living in Iran as there are in Azerbaijan itself. He also noted that even Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was Azerbaijani.

He added that Azerbaijan has long maintained close ties with Israel and, more recently, with the United States, but emphasized that none of this justifies Iran’s unprovoked attacks.

“My solidarity is with Azerbaijan!” Saakashvili wrote.

“This regime has no chance of survival, although its agony may continue for many months,” he noted.
