One week into the U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iran, the conflict has escalated into a regional crisis with growing risks for President Donald Trump.
Axar.az reports, citing Reuters, analysts Laura Blumenfeld of Johns Hopkins SAIS stated that despite early tactical successes, including the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the war is widening and could lead to a prolonged U.S. military engagement beyond Trump’s control.
“Iran is a messy and potentially protracted military campaign. Trump is risking the global economy, regional stability and his own Republican Party's performance in the U.S. midterm elections.”
