EU extends Russia sanctions list by six months

The European Union has officially extended its sanctions list against Russia, which includes more than 2,600 individuals and entities, for another six months.

Axar.az infroms "The Council decided today to prolong the restrictive measures targeting those responsible for undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine for another six months, until 15 September 2026," the Council of the European Union said in a press release.

The statement also noted that the Council removed two people from the sanctions list, though their names were not disclosed.
