Syrian President begins Germany visit

Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa has begun his visit to Germany.

Axar.az reports that during the visit, Ahmad al-Sharaa met with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

The meeting focused on the future of bilateral relations and the situation in the region, with an emphasis on the importance of ensuring stability in the Middle East. President Steinmeier once again expressed Germany’s readiness to support efforts to establish stability in Syria, as well as reconstruction and reforms.

As part of the visit, the Syrian president is also expected to meet with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
