Magyar vows to continue Orban’s migration policy

Hungary’s incoming prime minister, Peter Magyar, has said he will continue Viktor Orban’s migration policy and will not allow illegal migrants into the country.

Axar.az repоrts that Magyar made the remarks in comments to journalists.

“I intend to further strengthen the border. I have made it clear to the President of the European Commission and every European leader that Hungary takes a very firm stance on illegal migration.

We do not accept any pacts or redistribution mechanisms.

We will maintain our southern border fence and repair it, as there are gaps. We are honest and want to protect both Europe and Hungary from illegal migration. There are legal forms of migration that we accept, but illegal ones are not,” he said.
