Ukraine, Azerbaijan expand cooperation in Mine Action

A delegation from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Azerbaijan as part of an experience exchange and participation in a training program on humanitarian demining.

Axar.az reports, according to the Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, the visit is taking place within the framework of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), signed last December in Tokyo during the annual Ukraine Mine Action Conference 2025.

On his Facebook page, Husyev stated that specialists from the State Emergency Service are participating this week in a training program titled “Planning and Organization of Humanitarian Demining Activities.”

It was noted that Ukraine and Azerbaijan have unique experiences in demining, and both sides discussed ways to deepen cooperation in mine action and agreed on concrete next steps.
