Thomas “Tommy” Pigott has been appointed as the Spokesperson of the U.S. Department of State.

Axar.az reports, citing US Department of State, in his role as Spokesperson, Pigott will engage with audiences in the United States and around the world on how, under the leadership of Secretary Marco Rubio, the State Department is advancing President Donald Trump’s foreign policy.

He will lead engagement with the press corps and broader media, and provide strategic input on communications and messaging.

Pigott joined the Department and the Trump administration in January 2025, previously serving as Principal Deputy Spokesperson. He also worked on Donald Trump’s 2024 election campaign and at the Republican National Committee.
