UKMTO reports explosions near tanker off Yemen

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has reported an incident involving a tanker approximately 60 nautical miles south of Al Mukha, Yemen.

Axar.az reports, citing UKMTO’s post on X, that the vessel’s Company Security Officer reported seeing multiple explosions in close proximity to the tanker.

The crew are safe, and no environmental impact has been reported.

Authorities are investigating the incident. UKMTO has advised vessels operating in the area to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity.
